Forest Meadows Recreation Center is a great place for groups to meet as it boasts a quaint playground, green space, restroom and water fountain.  You can access Red Bug Trail, the Meridian Sports Complex, Oak Hammock Trail, Coon Bottom Trail and Swamp Forest Trails in Phipps Park from this recreation center.  You can also access the back side of Maclay State Park.  Red Bug, Coon Bottom and Oak Hammock Trails are not stroller friendly.  The back side of Maclay State Park’s Ravine Trail is stroller friendly.  Distances vary with each trail.

Helpful Trail Information

Creek / River, Lake, Mud Puddles, Natural Play Area, Picnic Area, Playground, Shaded Hike, and Viewpoint Beautiful shaded trails with huge Oak and Pine trees. There are elevations and creeks. The area is very green and lush.

Parking Details

If you go across the street into Maclay State Park there is a $2 per person fee. You will find an honor system payment box there.
