If you are looking for a short and easy hike, this is your trail! Flat Branch Nature Preserve is part of an old farmland and upland depression swap forest. The preserve has a shelter with picnic tables and restrooms. There is a short natural and crushed gravel .45mi loop trail with a small boardwalk area over the swamp. And as the name suggests, it is completely flat!
A very low key hike that is perfect for beginners.

Helpful Trail Information
Mud Puddles, Natural Play Area, Picnic Area, Shaded Hike, and Shelter Not very far into the trail is a “mini Stonehenge.” This is a fun group of rocks that the kids can play on and around. A short boardwalk extends from the loop over the upland depression swap. The area has many informative signs about the area.
