1. PLACES / FISHERMAN'S TRAIL - LITTLE BUFFALO STATE PARK
The Fishman’s Trail is a gravel out-and-back trail that is one of our family’s favorites.  We park at the parking lot located at the end of Boat Launch Road and the trailhead is right behind the metal gate just east of the parking lot.  Walk over the top of the lake dam and enjoy the view before walking down a small slope into the woods.  The woods provide shade in the summer and a windbreak in the cooler months.  Lots of birds stop at the lake during their migrations and you can hear them calling to each other as you walk in the woods.  There are a few benches along the path in the woods.  Once you walk out the other side of the woods there is a nice spot to the left to throw sticks and rocks into the lake.  Out and back is about 2 miles.
