Helpful Trail Information
Natural Play Area and Viewpoint This trail is best hiked in cooler months. Summer temps can easily reach 120°F. Bring lots of water! A large part of the trail is on smooth rock, there are markers and rock cairns to help keep you going in the right direction. There is mostly no cell service in Valley of Fire State Park. But there are a couple of spots clearly marked where there is clear cell coverage. The parking lot for the Fire Wave hike is one of those spots. There are picnic tables and vault toilets just across the road from this trailhead.
Parking Details
There is a fee to enter Valley of Fire State Park; $8 for Nevada residents and $10 for everyone else. There is clear and marked cell phone service at a couple of trailhead parking lots.
