1. PLACES / EVANS CREEK PRESERVE
The 213 acre Evans Creek Preserve offers wildflower meadows, wetlands, wildlife, forested uplands, 3.5 miles of pedestrian-only loop trails and precious respite from the noise and bustle of everyday urban living. All trails are clearly marked with numbered trail signs and maps and all are well maintained year round. The lower parking lot and trailhead are the best option for those interested in hiking trails with limited elevation change that travel through meadow and wetland areas. A diverse collection of wildlife calls the Evans Creek Preserve home, including deer, black bears, hawks, songbirds and beavers.   Submitted by: Mercedes Benedict
