1. PLACES / ELMER'S WAY RED TRAIL AT HARRY C BARNES NATURE CENTER
This short half mile hike packs in a lot of fun stuff for the little ones. You start off and I fun map of the trails. The map is drawn by a local Boy Scouts. You will follow the red blue Trail until it splits. From there you will fall the Red Trail and signs for Elmer’s way. This Trail has a creek running through it. This means there are many wooden bridges for the kids to cross. There are also a couple Sandy areas along the way for the kids to get in the water and play. There are tree identification markers for everyone to learn different trees along the trail. This Trail is mostly flat but as a lot of roots and rocks to make it a little difficult for the new walkers. At the end of the trail you can walk behind the Nature Center and get a view of their owls and hawk. If you wish to go to the Nature Center it is open Thursday  through Sunday for a fee.
