1. PLACES / ECHO ROCK TRAIL
This paved, accessible trail begins near the Cliffwood campground parking area. It is a small parking area and has a picnic table. Heading on the paved trail, you’ll come to a small overlook that gives a view of Mirror Lake below. Continuing down on the dirt portion of the trail you’ll come up on Echo Rock. The trail goes around the rock, be sure to stay on the trail, there isn’t much from the edge down into the lake. You’ll get great views of neighboring Ishnala Supper Club along this portion of the trail. Taking the trail back up, you’ll come to a large bridge that spans a small divide in the landscape. If you take the bridge, you’ll head out onto the Ishnala trail loop. Keep to the left and paved portion of the trail to stay on the Echo Rock trail and head back towards the parking lot. There is some slight elevation in this trail, but manageable for children. Recommend a carrier for little kids around Echo Rock due to there being no railings around the trail into the lake.   Map of Mirror Lake State Park can be found here: https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/mirrorlake/pdfs/mirrorlakeparkmap.pdf
