1. PLACES / DAMONTE RANCH WETLANDS LOOP - RENO - NV
This 3.1-mile loop trail is mostly flat and paved the entire way. It has beautiful views of the wetlands, Mt. Rose, and nearby hills. There is one section that merges into the sidewalk along busy Veterans Parkway, but otherwise it's entirely off-street. It's an excellent place to bike with children, use a bike trailer or bike seat, and have littles practice riding. This is a popular trail for birding, road biking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
