The Creek trail is a well marked trail, that continues on to meet up with the Cheif’s Grove trail. The trail itself has a lot of fun features for the kids – small bridges, and board planks to walk on due to some standing water. This standing water makes for some awesome muddy puddles in the spring and summer, and slippery, icy fun in the winter. The trail length in total is about 2.5 miles, and runs along a creek which makes for lots of good rock tossing. The trail is not stroller friendly, and very new walkers will need a hand on some of the bridges. It can be completed as an out and back, or can take a small extension trail that will take you back to the parking lot.
Another short trail near the trail head branches off of this one, and leads to a nature playground. The nature play area has a large platform to climb up and take a look at everything, and depending on the time of year, may have a swing, large stick teepees, and additional creek access.
