1. PLACES / COUGAR TRAILS LOOP
Nearly 3 miles of trails run through the WSU Campus offering an opportunity for walking, jogging, and biking. The trail features a river and offers a variety of activity options depending on the time of year. Starting at the Gray Lot, follow the maintenance track until you reach a trail junction. Go left at the junction into the forested area. At the next junction, go left to pass by Mill Creek. You’ll cross the footbridge and take a right at the next junction.  Follow the paved sidewalk up to the hillside and back into the woods. Follow the wood chip trail leading around the edge of the field and through a fence. You’ll pass the Heritage Garden Barn and a variety of fruit trees before taking a spur trail to the right across another footbridge. Next, you’ll cross a boardwalk before following the trail right up a slope. This will bring you back to the Gray Lot.
