1. PLACES / COOL CREEK PARK TRAIL
Cool Creek Park has a great trail that starts close to the nature center and takes you along the creek, through woody areas, branches off to a nature play area and back to the nature center. Technically there are two trails – Tulip (1.5 miles) and Beech Trail (1 mile) – but they intertwine frequently throughout the park. More often than not, you’ll hike both during a visit. This park is great for bird watching. The nature center offers some fun activities for kids, guided walks and more. This is a great place to visit year round and watch the seasons change. The park is open from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted.
