1. PLACES / CHESLEN PRESERVE - PURPLE TRAIL
The trail head for the purple trail is across the street from the parking lot, and can be found after walking across a large bridge.  The trail is almost 2 miles long, and not stroller friendly as there are stairs to climb up about 0.5 miles into the trail.  It runs along a creek, which has a picnic table and spots to stop along the way.  Opposite the creek is a large, open, meadow.  Lots of mud and mud puddles to explore when it has been rainy, plus plenty of spots to toss rocks into the creek.  A section of the trail also runs past rows of crops, and this trail intersects with the red trail, which allows you to loop back through the meadow to the beginning in the event you (or the kids!) need to cut the trail short.
