1. PLACES / CHESAPEAKE TREE TRAIL
The Chesapeake Tree Trail is an urban stroll around City Hall and other municipal buildings, with gardens, statues, and lots of tree signage along the way. Look for the green symbols on the sidewalk to guide you on this “trail,” which loops for a little over a mile on sidewalks around the area. Park near the Central Library and continue on foot a little way down Library Dr; a good place to begin the walk is near east lot 5. Paved sidewalks make this trail good for any and all wheels. Some portions run along roads or parking lots, so walking kids need to be able to stay on the sidewalk and look for cars. There are porta potties along the trail or you use the library restroom if needed.
