1. PLACES / CHESAPEAKE ABORETUM
The Chesapeake Arboretum is a 46-acre park with three combined trails that equal out to a loop. This trail runs beside a creek and is composed of a combination of foot bridges and dirt pathways. The trail has little to no elevation with the exception of one “hill” that has a few steps going both up and down.  The path is flat with a few areas where you should watch your step for roots.  This trail features a garden section, a lake, a natural play area, as well as the creek. You can usually spot various wild life such as turtles, ducks, snakes, bats, and birds.

Helpful Trail Information

Creek / River, Lake, Natural Play Area, Shaded Hike, Shelter, and Wildlife Viewing The Chesapeake Arboretum is a little slice of nature near battlefield blv. The creek raises and lowers depending on the weather, and there are areas that are a straight drop into the creek, so keeping little’s close would be ideal until you reach the natural playground. This hike is all terrain stroller friendly only. A normal stroller would not fair well on this trail.
