1. PLACES / CAPITOL CITY PASSAGE - PALMETTO TRAIL
The first part of the Capitol City Passage starts where Main Street dead ends at the Capitol building, and this has made a great ‘first hike’ with our branch. Lots of coffee shop options to get you started off right, and playing at the Capitol (technically a state park) is a great stroller or carrier break for little legs!!   Extend your urban hike with these facts along Main Street and look for the brass salamanders and historic buildings! https://discoversouthcarolina.com/articles/sally-salamander-shows-off-columbias-beautiful-architecture-on-a-fun-tour-of-the-capital-city https://discoversouthcarolina.com/articles/explore-columbias-historic-spots-on-a-self-guided-volkswalking-tour
