With over 8.5 miles of trails, Bubolz Nature Preserve in Appleton, Wisconsin offers year round access to nature.  The trail systems offers five trail options for hiking, walking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.  There are 725 Acres of mixed habitat and 2 ponds. The flat, wide, manicured trails are great for hikers of all abilities.  They are mostly packed dirt.   There are many loops for varying your hike scenery and distance.  A jogging type stroller would do OK in the summer months, but a carrier is recommended other times of the year. The Environmental Center is open Tue – Fri from 8am – 4:30pm; Saturday from 11am – 4pm and Sunday from Noon – 4pm. The trails are open year round, dawn to dusk. Creek / River, Mud Puddles, Natural Play Area, Picnic Area, Shaded Hike, Shelter, Viewpoint, Visitor Center, and Wildlife Viewing In addition to hiking, the preserve also has several events and programs throughout the year. The environmental center has a small gift shop with many nature themed items. Also several animal displays in the building.

Parking Details

A $2 trail donation per person is encouraged and there is a box at the trailhead. There are also membership options.There is a large designated parking lot.
