1. PLACES / BLUE - WEIS TO WYANOKIE HIGH POINT
This is one of my favorite trails ever.  It is definitely a “Moderate” trail, and there are some tough points, but it is extremely rewarding with 4 viewpoints in only 3.5 miles! It’s tons of fun, there are plenty of flat areas to stop and picnic along the way, and the high point has amazing 360 degree views. For the most part, there is minimal sun exposure during the leafy months, but there are some bald areas when you’re just standing on a giant rock and the sun is beating down on you. I typically do not wear sunscreen on this hike and I have never burned there. (and I burn easily.) We generally begin in the parking lot for the New Weis Center and follow the Green trail past Highlands Natural Pool (a refreshing place for a post-hike dip!) until we reach the Blue trailhead just behind a kiosk where Green, Blue, and Yellow/White all intersect. From there, we hike up to the High Point and then come out the same way.  There are lots of ways to make this a loop, but with the kiddos, this is what we have found to be best.
