1.69 mile hiking trail made mostly of crushed stone and rated “easy.” It begins at the southern end of the Thornton Bridge and widely circles the Humana Grand Allee, passing by wooded areas, through meadows, and along Floyds Fork before meeting up with the Louisville Loop and circling back to the bridge.

Helpful Trail Information

Lake and Wildlife Viewing There is only limited shade at a part of this trail. Because it’s a loop around a general parking spot it’s easy to jump on or off when needed. It is easy to do part of the trail and then walk down the middle to visit the ducks.

Parking Details

Parking lot by the fountain has a trail head near the bridge. Parking lot by the soccer fields has access to the trail by the bridge.
