1. PLACES / BLACK FOREST SEC 16 TRAIL
This trail is a loop a little over 4 miles long. It is a very wide dirt trail that is accessible with all terrain jogging strollers and mountain bikes. Although most of the trail is shaded by trees there are stretches where you are exposed. Likewise there are some very steep hilly areas; however, most is quit flat or rolling hills. You can often find walkers, runners, bikers and horses sharing the path! Park benches are scattered throughout the trail to showcase the excellent views of Pikes Peak Mountain. At the start of the trail there is a gravel parking lot with a large parking lot; however, due to the popularity of this open space the parking lot is often quite full. There are outhouse bathrooms and trash cans available at the start of the trail. Leashed dogs welcome.
