1. PLACES / BETTE BENDIXEN MINIPARK TO POWAY POND
Bette Bendixen Minipark is a hidden gem no one seems to know about in Poway. The park has a small play structure and sand area that kids can play on, and a small creek kids can splash in! Then you can take the short, flat, and off road stroller accessible path (less than half a mile) to the Poway Pond. The trailhead starts on the other side of the creek from the playground. Once you reach the pond you can stop for a snack, search for critters, and enjoy the view. The park, path, and pond all are shaded by big trees, which makes this park extra special, especially on hot days! Restrooms: None
