1. PLACES / BATTLE GROUND LAKE
The lower trail starts off lakeside by the boat launch. You can go either direction. The lower trail stays close to the water and is a bit more rugged. It is very scenic but can get a bit muddy. The upper trail begins before the boat launch, stays a bit farther away and has a generally smoother terrain. It leads you through the forest with glimpses of the lake. The lake was formed in a volcanic crater. The depth is unknown.
