1. PLACES / BARBERVILLE FALLS
This very steep but short trail is well worth the effort and features a beautiful waterfall when you reach the bottom. It also allows hikers the option to hike up to the top of the falls if they so choose. The full trail is 1.6 miles but it can be adjusted to fit your comfort. The best time to visit would be the spring or when it has recently rained so that the falls will be full. The steep paths do become wet and slippery shortly after rain fall, however. Carriers are a must for very little ones. Be aware of private property lines for this trail as the land is shared with a private owner on one side. Submitted by Anna North
