1. PLACES / ARMLEDER TRAIL (OTTO ARMLEDER MEMORIAL PARK)
The Armleder trail is a 1.9 mile shared-use loop trail that offers plenty of bird watching, including the beautiful native blue birds. During the month of October, the trail hosts “Scarecrow Row”, an art installation of scarecrows benefiting a local community center, which provides extra fun for kids to spot the next scarecrow. While a paved trail perfect for walkers, runners, cyclists, strollers and even rollerblading, the trail still has a feeling of being disconnected from the busy world. Keep an eye out for dragonflies, butterflies, toads, and the banded woolly bear sharing the journey with you and see how many species of wildflowers you can identify.
