1. PLACES / 360 TRAILS / GATEWAY PARK
360 Trails is a trail system out of Gig Harbor that covers 360 acres of wooded area, with a trail for every type of outdoor enthusiast.  There are hiker trails, bicycle trails, equestrian trails, and multi-purpose trails that are shared for different activities.  You are able to make your hike as little as 1/2 mile or increase it by connecting various trails.  There’s a great “main trail” that is a jogging-stroller friendly ~ 2.5mi loop, or there are walking/carrier only trails.  There is even a small creek that crosses one area of the trail system.  There have been cougar and bear sightings at this trail (not by our group), so it’s a good idea to go with a group and make noise. My kids especially love this park because it’s connected to Gateway park, with an amazing new playground.  The playground has 3 different main structures, with a few smaller toys – something for each age group.  It also has a great pavillion, benches, picnic tables, and plumbed bathrooms.
