Connecting Communities, Inspiring Engagement

Moderating a Community Hub at OutGrown is more than managing conversations—it’s about inspiring others to connect, share, and grow together.

What Moderation Is All About

Moderators help keep their Community Hub active and engaging. You don’t need to be a social media expert or manage a large group—moderation is about sharing your passion for the outdoors and encouraging others to join in. Whether you host a hike, share local tips, or simply motivate members to connect, every contribution makes a difference.

What We Ask of Moderators

  1. Follow the Community Agreement and Waiver:

    • As a moderator, you agree to uphold OutGrown’s values by fostering an inclusive, respectful, and safe space for all members.

  2. Encourage Connection, Not Numbers:

    • We don’t measure success by the size of your hub but by the strength of the connections you create. Your focus is on motivating others to participate in meaningful ways.

  3. Limit Your Moderation to Two Community Hubs:

    • We recommend moderating no more than two Community Hub Tags to ensure you have time to support your hubs truly.

    • If you’re interested in moderating three or more hubs, we’ll guide you toward next-level leadership opportunities within OutGrown.
